How It's made

The Kit is Received

All of my dolly creations start as a blank kit, with a neutral vinyl color, regardless of origin.

Unlike many reborn artists, I prefer not to use paints. I instead use alcohol-based markers. Starting with the head, I apply layers in different shades of alcohol-based marker to the vinyl. I use various shades during this step, allowing time for drying in between each layer.

Resting

The doll is left with a rich, newborn-like skin tone. The vinyl of the arms and legs go through the same process as the head.

Hair

Final Touches

Resting

If the baby will have rooted hair rather than being a bald baby or having drawn hair, the rooting process can take hours. When creating a newborn baby, the hair is rooted long.

Eyelashes

Final Touches

Final Touches

The hair is trimmed down, and the eyelashes are rooted into the doll head, before being trimmed down as well.

Before being assembled, any final touch-ups to the vinyl are done, such as a magnet is inserted for a magnetic pacifier, or the mouth is cut open for a regular or modified pacifier... the hair is trimmed to its final length and glued from the inside of the head. (This step is done to ensure that the hair strands do not fall out of the head during brushing)

About Raising Rebornz

Q: Who are you?

Hi! I'm Raising Rebornz and I'm from Pennsylvania. I also go by my nickname, Bia. I'm 22 years old and I enjoy creating and collecting dolls. I started my social media on TikTok, gained over 5k followers before the "ban", and then switched to YouTube. I now only post on YouTube.

Q: Why are you into Reborns?

Initially, I used reborns as a coping mechanism after miscarriages. Now, reborns help me with my anxiety, and it's more of a hobby than a coping mechanism.

Q: What do you post on Youtube?

My YouTube channel has a variety of topics. On my channel, I do unboxing videos, tutorials, vlogs, I change my doll's outfits, and I make roleplay videos as well. I try to keep my Youtube Shorts about my daily life, and my full-length videos as Reborn Topic-Related as possible.

Q: How long have you been in the reborn community?

I got my first "reborn" type doll in 2019 as a Christmas present. I took a break for a few years but if you don't count that, I've been a doll collector for about 6 years!

Q: When did you start making reborns?

The first time I started selling dolls, I ran my online store as a test run from September to December. I painted vinyl dolls and silicone dolls.

Q: What are your price ranges?

I strive to keep my prices as low as possible, so when I sell my work, the prices are never more than $200.
